Raphaels Bank statement on the complaint submission deadline for Payment Protection Insurance (PPI)

Southern Finance Company Limited joined the Lenlyn Group in 2004, and was acquired by group member Raphaels Bank in 2010.

If you purchased PPI from Southern Finance and feel that the policy was mis-sold you are entitled to make a complaint.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has set a deadline of 29 August 2019 to complain about the sale of a PPI policy. Raphaels Bank must receive your PPI complaint by this date, otherwise your complaint will not be considered.

You will not be able to complain about the sale of a PPI policy after this date.

The FCA regulates the financial sector and protects consumers. The FCA also provides information about PPI and can help you understand it, but they cannot give you advice about your individual circumstances or complaint. More information can be found at https://www.fca.org.uk/ppi/

If you decide to check whether or not you had PPI, or you wish to complain about PPI, this will not affect your relationship with Raphaels Bank, nor will your credit score be negatively affected.

If you complain to us and are not happy with our response or do not receive a response within 8 weeks, you have the right to contact the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).

The FOS is a free, independent service for settling disputes between financial businesses and their customers. They can deal with complaints about a wide range of financial issues, including PPI. More information can be found at: https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/ppi/
